  Super friendly waiter (who was fluent in Dutch/Spanish/English), delicious snacks and coffee and very clean toilets. Thanks for the brilliant desayuno :-)

  It's on the twee-trendy border and seems popular with parents with kids and groups from the older set, but it's also a great place to find coffee and quiet on the Way of St James, as it's the first place you're likely to hit on the way out of the Pazo Pías hostel after leaving off your rucksack.

  At the back there are booths, where you can huddle with your friends for a chat over green tea, towards the windows there are more typical tables and chairs, at the bar there are stools for the lone paper-readers and, outside, there are some tables on the pavement - though, like most establishments in Spain, these are usually unusable if you want to avoid smoke.

  A pleasant 'little café' (the translation of its name). The premises are small and quite dark if you come in off the bright street, but the atmosphere is relaxed and calming. There's no TV blaring from the corner or slot machines flashing away - just a quiet place to have coffee and a pastry or cake while you read a book, surf (there's wifi) or check out the posters on the wall of the concerts that, sadly, no longer take place there.
